Responsibilities
- Produce software that meets defined requirements and quality standards.
- Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and document software functionality.
- Oversee team members performing software development functions.
- Lead others in adhering to project plans and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Make independent decisions and provide guidance on technologies and technical approaches.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions to determine technical requirements.
- Resolve software problems independently while working with internal stakeholders.
- Develop modern web applications for financial messaging.
- Support and mentor junior and mid-level engineers in an Agile development environment.
Requirements
- Degree-level education in Computer Science or another technical field.
- Typically 6+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent capabilities.
- Proficiency in Python, Django, JavaScript, jQuery, Vue.js, MySQL, Linux, and SVN.
- Full-stack development experience with HTML and CSS.
- Strong knowledge and implementation of software development best practices, methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead others.
- Effective leadership, organizational, communication, and reporting skills with attention to detail.
- Payment systems or banking and financial services domain experience is preferred.
