Base Salary
$80k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship well-tested frontend and backend features with guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers in an agile environment.
- Write clean, readable, tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Learn Ontic’s technology stack and domain while seeking mentorship and feedback.
- Investigate and resolve bugs and issues, escalating when appropriate.
- Contribute ideas to technical design discussions for assigned features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of professional, internship, or project experience in software engineering with exposure to frontend and backend development.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, and database technologies such as MongoDB.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and React fundamentals.
- Exposure to npm or Webpack and willingness to learn TypeScript, Redux, Zustand, React Query, and Jest.
- Foundational problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with, or interest in learning, CI/CD and cloud environments including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, receptiveness to feedback, collaboration, attention to detail, and dependability.
