Responsibilities
- Build Pinner-facing frontend features for Android.
- Contribute to and lead product development from ideation through implementation and release.
- Rapidly prototype, run A/B tests, and architect scalable solutions for millions of users.
- Partner with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
- Suggest new product ideas and features.
- Use automated testing to deliver technically high-quality features and own developed components.
- Drive initiatives from inception through technical design, implementation, and release.
- Use AI to accelerate drafting, prototyping, outlining, iteration, comparison of approaches, information synthesis, documentation, reporting, and QA checks.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Android development and best practices, including Kotlin and/or Java, Activity Lifecycle, and memory management.
- At least 3 years of industry experience developing Android applications for consumer- or business-facing products.
- Experience writing reliable and maintainable code that may be used by many engineers.
- Ability to stay current with new technologies and evaluate what should be incorporated.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day work.
- Ability to critically evaluate and verify AI-assisted work through testing, source-checking, data validation, or peer review.
- High integrity, ownership, protection of sensitive data, and accountability for final decisions and deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
