Responsibilities
- Lead technical solution development and architecture visioning during capture, shaping, and pre-RFP phases.
- Translate customer mission needs into actionable solution concepts and win themes across digital, cyber, autonomy, AI/ML, and infrastructure domains.
- Produce technical volumes, solution narratives, architecture diagrams, compliance matrices, and other proposal artifacts.
- Evaluate competitor approaches, teaming strategies, and price-to-win considerations.
- Partner with capture, pricing, industry, technology, and account teams on end-to-end solutions, basis-of-estimate inputs, and bills of materials.
- Support proposal reviews, verbal presentation preparation, and high-priority defense pursuits.
- Apply defense acquisition knowledge to align solutions with appropriate contracting approaches.
- Stay current on defense technology and venture ecosystems and build reusable solution assets.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, or product design.
- Experience developing technical solutions in areas such as autonomous vehicles including UUVs or UAVs, MBSE, DevSecOps, software engineering, digital infrastructure, AI, machine learning, networks, or enterprise IT.
- Experience supporting defense capture, proposals, or technical solutioning in government or government contracting environments.
- Knowledge of the defense industry and U.S. government acquisition process.
- Ability to author technical volumes, solution narratives, and written proposal artifacts.
- Ability to support DoD or IC clients, including Army, Navy, or Marine Corps missions.
- Ability to collaborate across capture, pricing, partner, and account leadership under deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM field.
- Preferred qualifications include competitive defense capture leadership, multi-domain solution architecture, rapid prototyping and high-speed acquisition knowledge, multi-domain operations and joint warfighting knowledge, an existing Secret clearance, a master's degree, AWS or Azure Solutions Architect Certification, and CISSP, Security+, or DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Certification.
