Base Salary
$134k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of customer order entry applications using React and Next.js.
- Own frontend architecture decisions involving SSR/SSG, state management, performance optimization, and accessibility.
- Build scalable user experiences for complex order workflows, validation rules, and real-time feedback.
- Partner with backend teams to define documented API contracts for order submission and validation.
- Drive unit, integration, and end-to-end test automation for frontend applications and supporting services.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines through quality gates, test reliability, and deployment confidence.
- Ensure production applications meet performance, observability, security, and usability standards.
- Mentor engineers and raise frontend engineering maturity and best practices.
- Spend approximately 60% of time hands-on with code and 40% on mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, building, testing, and deploying modern software applications.
- Strong expertise in React, Next.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience building complex form-driven or workflow-based interfaces, preferably for order entry, checkout, or transactional systems.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, event-driven systems, and asynchronous workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, GCP, Azure, and containerized environments.
- Ability to make sound technical decisions, influence design direction, and lead in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Experience working in Agile teams with collaboration across engineering, product, and design.
