Responsibilities
- Set SQUER’s technical direction for AI-native delivery, including practices, reference architectures, guardrails, and definitions of done for agent output.
- Prototype pipelines, agents, and internal tooling and validate what works in real enterprise environments.
- Advise CTOs, principal engineers, account leads, and strategic clients on AI-native delivery and enterprise governance.
- Drive internal AI enablement through learning paths, dogfooding, and engineering practices across more than 100 engineers.
- Evaluate models, tools, and agent frameworks and make technology recommendations with the TechOffice.
- Own the technical side of partner relationships and certifications.
- Represent SQUER through keynotes, publications, conferences, meetups, pitches, and RFPs.
- Coach and pair with Leads and Principals to increase organizational technical capability.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with agentic engineering, including coding agents, spec-driven development, MCP, orchestration, and evaluation.
- Experience taking AI-assisted delivery from experimentation to daily team use in a real organization with practical constraints.
- Strong architecture depth in distributed systems, event-driven design, platform engineering, and software delivery practices.
- Ability to work effectively with CIOs and enterprise leaders as well as pair with engineers on legacy codebases.
- Public technical track record through conference talks, writing, open source, or community work is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate uncertainty honestly, defend technical positions publicly, and avoid overselling immature technology.
- Experience working in regulated environments, legacy landscapes, and organizations where change is slow and political.
