Base Salary
$130k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems.
- Develop Java-based software solutions for client and mission needs.
- Work with other engineers to create high-quality software solutions.
- Apply strong testing and troubleshooting skills while managing multiple deadlines.
- Keep current with emerging software development trends and technologies.
- Work in a fast-paced small-business environment and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience with a related master’s degree, five years with a related bachelor’s degree, or nine years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong experience developing Java-based software using modern Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring and Guava.
- Experience designing enterprise APIs and developing RESTful web services.
- Experience with microservices architecture and object-oriented programming paradigms.
- Experience with Linux and configuration management tools such as Git, Nexus, and Maven.
- DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification, such as Security+, is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required; a current U.S. Government clearance is not required on day one, but a Secret clearance will be processed.
- Preferred qualifications include a current Secret or TS/SCI clearance; NiFi, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, Azure, distributed databases, NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr, scripting, and Big Data Platform experience.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub Enterprise is preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot effectively, work under pressure and multiple deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, averaging one to two days per week at the Columbia, Maryland office.
