Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced AI/ML models and algorithms for client needs.
- Translate client problems and business requirements into production-ready AI/ML solutions.
- Design, prototype, build, and deploy robust and scalable AI systems and services.
- Oversee AI/ML model experimentation, deployment, monitoring, reliability, and maintenance in production.
- Implement and promote MLOps best practices.
- Serve as a technical expert in client engagements, gathering requirements and presenting solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior AI engineers and data scientists.
- Optimize models and infrastructure for performance, efficiency, scalability, large datasets, and high-throughput applications.
- Evaluate new AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and research and integrate relevant advances into products and client offerings.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Significant hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering or research, including deploying AI solutions in production environments and/or client-facing roles.
- Extensive expertise in deep learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, classical machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Proficiency in Python and major AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and scikit-learn.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying scalable AI solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with MLOps tools and practices is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address ambiguous, open-ended research and engineering challenges.
- Experience with large-scale data processing technologies such as Spark and Dask and with database systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
