Responsibilities
- Write, design, construct, test, implement, and maintain application features and systems across the full stack.
- Build UI frameworks and applications using React and TypeScript and backend services using Java, Spring, Node.js, and microservices.
- Participate in application solution design, architecture discussions, feasibility studies, implementation planning, and systems documentation.
- Develop secure, stable, testable, maintainable code and perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and system integrity testing.
- Build, deploy, and test application components in development environments across all application layers.
- Support digital applications, risk technology, analytic model development, application operations, and Finance Technology platforms.
- Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, product owners, scrum teams, users, clients, and technology groups.
- Provide input on feature prioritization, technical dependencies, project schedules, delivery risks, and development process improvements.
- Assess operational and regulatory risk, follow applicable policies and controls, and escalate control issues transparently.
Requirements
- Strong experience in application development or systems analysis and successful software project implementation.
- Proven engineering experience building robust, scalable, and maintainable applications in financial services or a large, complex, global environment.
- Strong full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java or another JVM language, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with React UI frameworks, API development, Spring, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot microservices.
- Experience with test-driven development and testing tools including Jest, Cypress, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Experience with OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and build or deployment tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, UDeploy, Harness, NPM, Maven, and Gradle.
- Proficiency with SQL databases; MongoDB and Oracle experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, take ownership, manage deadlines, communicate clearly, and operate in a matrix environment.
- Experience with public clouds such as AWS or GCP is advantageous.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring technologies, middleware such as Tibco RV, EMS, Solace, or Kafka, and Python or generative AI is a plus.
- Understanding of generative AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Devin is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
