Base Salary
$155k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reusable tooling and configuration-driven workflows for the lifecycle management of Connectivity infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain automation for Linux systems and network appliances, including secure configuration generation, bootstrapping, software updates, and validation.
- Create scalable connectivity workflows for provisioning, secure channel establishment, validation, monitoring, and sustainment across customer environments.
- Build infrastructure patterns aligned with zero-trust principles, network segmentation, access controls, and critical infrastructure security requirements.
- Translate ambiguous infrastructure and workflow problems into technical designs, implementation plans, and engineering tasks.
- Produce design documentation, implementation guidance, and operational handoff materials while reinforcing code quality, testing, and maintainability standards.
- Provide code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and help advance the team’s software-driven Connectivity engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building infrastructure, automation, or platform engineering solutions in complex environments.
- Strong experience developing infrastructure automation and tooling using Git workflows, structured configuration data, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and code reviews.
- Hands-on expertise with Linux operating systems, system configuration, package and service management, debugging, and scripting.
- Solid knowledge of network design, segmentation, VPNs, firewalls, encryption, and secure connectivity patterns.
- Ability to independently solve ambiguous infrastructure problems, drive solution design through implementation, communicate tradeoffs, and support junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ability to travel quarterly for Program Management Reviews and team collaboration.
- Preferred: residence in the Denver, San Antonio, or Brooklyn metropolitan areas.
- Preferred: experience in DoD, Air Force, or federal contractor environments.
- Preferred: relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or AWS Advanced Networking.
- Preferred: experience with OT/ICS, critical infrastructure, industrial networks, facility-edge environments, and network automation tools such as Ansible, Cisco DevNet, or open-source routing tools.
