Responsibilities
- Build and maintain both web and mobile versions of the platform.
- Design and maintain backend services, APIs, database architecture, schemas, queries, and data models for performance and scale.
- Build reliable ETL and data pipelines from messy external sources.
- Translate UI designs into responsive, high-quality frontend builds, including dashboards, internal tools, and reports.
- Integrate third-party tools and external data sources, including web scraping and API-based integrations.
- Handle deployment, testing, data validation, and performance optimization.
- Use caching strategies, incremental data updates, and API token budgeting where appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building production systems in Python.
- Strong SQL and database design skills, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Required experience with ETL and data pipelines.
- Expertise in web scraping, browser automation, API reverse-engineering, anti-bot handling, and rate limiting.
- Self-initiative, goal orientation, pragmatic coding judgment, adaptability, and willingness to learn new domains.
- Prior experience working in a small team or startup environment with fewer than 20 people.
- Preferred experience with e-commerce or marketplace data, including Amazon, Keepa, or SP-API.
- Preferred frontend experience building dashboards, internal tools, and reports.
- Preferred familiarity with cloud deployment using AWS or GCP.
- Preferred experience with caching strategies, incremental data updates, API token budgeting, and data validation or QA.
