Base Salary
$185k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define shared architectural patterns and modular design systems across native iOS, Android, and cross-platform integrations.
- Design scalable personalization and content delivery pipelines for high-traffic media experiences.
- Lead technical strategy, architecture, technology evaluations, and standards across multi-team engineering initiatives.
- Conduct architecture proposals, code reviews, and governance focused on system design, security, privacy, and quality.
- Architect CDN caching, cloud infrastructure, compliance, and cost-optimization solutions.
- Participate in deployments across QA, UAT, and production environments and join the developer on-call rotation.
- Author resilient code and reusable libraries while mentoring, onboarding, training, and interviewing software engineering staff.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of progressive software engineering experience, including architecture leadership in complex multi-team platform environments.
- Deep native mobile architecture expertise across iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, Java, or Objective-C.
- Experience designing high-traffic distributed systems, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and client-server integrations.
- Experience with media playback, streaming protocols, CDN configurations, and AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with GDPR, CPRA, cloud cost optimization, version control, continuous integration, and automated testing frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical work experience demonstrating equivalent technical architecture capability.
- Preferred experience includes Go or PHP backend systems, event-driven or microservice architectures, edge media caches, relational databases or SQL, and open-source contributions.
- Strong technical governance, communication, mentoring, code quality, and production incident diagnostic skills.
