Base Salary

$132k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and evolve Visa’s Agentic AI Platform for multi-agent orchestration, RAG, and integration with existing enterprise microservices.
  • Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI, and Flask.
  • Integrate GPT, Claude, Mistral, Gemini, and other LLMs into backend systems and build agentic workflows.
  • Build distributed, fault-tolerant systems with autoscaling, monitoring, observability, latency optimization, and reliability improvements.
  • Partner with senior engineers, ML engineers, and product leaders to define and deliver the platform roadmap.
  • Mentor developers, establish coding standards, lead design reviews, and drive technical execution.
  • Explore new architectures, deployment models, automation, and open-source adoption for production Agentic AI systems.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred 6+ years of backend software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • At least 2 years of backend experience with Python and FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
  • Production experience building and deploying AI-agent solutions, including LLM-agent orchestration, enterprise microservice integration, and production troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM, GenAI, and RAG systems using LangChain, LangGraph, or Autogen.
  • Strong understanding of AI orchestration, LLM integration patterns, distributed systems, microservices, REST/gRPC API design, event-driven architectures, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, and FAISS.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with web or mobile applications, debugging, performance optimization, testing procedures, code reviews, coding standards, developer tools, and cross-functional technical delivery.
  • Experience in technical leadership, with or without direct reports, and strong system design skills at scale.
