Responsibilities

  • Establish and govern global architectural blueprints, integration frameworks, technology standards, and reuse patterns for Medical Affairs digital systems.
  • Personally design and document solution architectures for high-priority enterprise platforms and align technical designs with business capabilities.
  • Architect agentic AI platforms, multi-agent workflows, LLM pipelines, RAG systems, vector database solutions, AI telemetry, and responsible AI controls.
  • Drive integrations across Veeva CRM, PromoMats, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Ensure solutions address GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, AI ethics, data privacy, and other regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Advise senior Medical Affairs executives, present architecture and investment recommendations, and build alignment across matrixed stakeholders.
  • Conduct ROI and TCO analysis, support business cases and budgeting, and co-lead RFIs, RFPs, and vendor assessments.
  • Identify architectural, data-governance, and compliance risks and coordinate mitigation with risk, security, and quality teams.
  • Directly manage, coach, and support the performance and career growth of a UX Designer and Scrum Master.
  • Lead a Medical Affairs architecture community of practice and coordinate engineers and external systems integrators against technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of experience in IT, systems architecture, or digital engineering and at least 8 years as a hands-on Solution Architect.
  • Experience designing AI-oriented solutions involving LLMs, RAG, or agentic systems and complex data integrations.
  • Experience leading and mentoring UX, Scrum, Engineering, or other digital professionals and coordinating matrixed engineering resources.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presentation, diplomacy, negotiation, and matrix-management skills.
  • Hands-on AI, NLP, LLM, LLMOps, or AIOps implementation experience and deep modern cloud architecture expertise using AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with API-first design and practical knowledge of Veeva CRM and the Salesforce ecosystem, including Life Sciences Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in a technical or business field.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of Medical Affairs, Field Medical, and HCP engagement.
  • Preferred: familiarity with GxP, FDA regulation, software validation, MLR processes, GDPR, HIPAA, and global data privacy standards.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Salesforce Certified System/Application Architect, or AI Engineering/Architecture credentials.
  • Preferred: experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks and Design Thinking methodology.

Benefits

  • Hybrid role requiring two to three days per week on site in NYHQ or Collegeville, Pennsylvania; relocation package is not eligible.
  • Annual base salary is $214,900.00 to $358,100.00, with eligibility for a 22.5% bonus target and share-based long-term incentive program.
