Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GPU-accelerated MRI reconstruction modules in Python and C++ using Gadgetron, CUDA, and PyTorch.
- Support scanner-to-cloud integration between Siemens MRI environments, Azure-based cloud compute, and on-premises systems via the MRD/Gadgetron protocol.
- Build data ingestion pipelines, datasets, and automated multi-stage workflows for AI model training using DICOM and raw MRI/CT data.
- Support real-time or near-real-time data streaming and software integration for an interventional cardiovascular CT platform.
- Write software tools and solvers, port prototype code into deployment-ready software, and develop clinical MRI and CT pipeline software.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and GPU-tier tests; CI/CD pipelines; Docker containers; deployment artifacts; and test reports.
- Commit documented source code, participate in code reviews and technical design discussions, and produce architecture documents, API references, user guides, and biweekly progress reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python, NumPy, PyTorch, SciPy, and C++17 or later.
- Experience with GPU programming using CUDA, PyTorch GPU operations, or Triton.
- Familiarity with Linux system administration, Ubuntu, Docker, and containerized workflows.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong software engineering practices including code review, documentation, modular design, and test-driven development.
- Preferred experience with MRI or medical imaging reconstruction software such as Gadgetron, BART, or SigPy.
- Preferred familiarity with ISMRMRD/MRD data formats, DICOM, Azure cloud services, and Siemens ICE/IDEA development environments or other vendor SDKs.
