Base Salary
$110k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build robust, performant, user-facing web applications using Python, Django, and Angular for millions of daily users.
- Develop and ship new user-interaction and scientific data visualization functionality using modern APIs and frameworks.
- Collaborate with user researchers, designers, product managers, scientists, security engineers, and DevOps engineers on an agile product team.
- Deliver responsive, accessible, mobile-friendly, high-quality code with automated testing, building, and deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a scientific field such as engineering or physics, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of full-stack web application development experience using Python, Django, and ReactJS.
- Understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with relational database modeling and data migration.
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Preferred experience developing Django web applications and services.
- Preferred experience with Angular and ReactJS.
- Preferred experience using web services and APIs.
- Preferred familiarity with Lucene and Solr.
- Preferred experience with semantic markup and modern web layout techniques.
- Preferred experience with automated regression testing using Selenium.
- Preferred proficiency with Git.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
