Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and architecture for large-scale supply chain data platforms on AWS, Databricks, and Azure.
- Lead data solution design and delivery across discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, and operational support.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple development teams and mentor data engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.
- Coordinate priorities, roadmaps, dependencies, delivery practices, risks, and execution across parallel workstreams.
- Design and implement scalable data, analytics, streaming, event-driven, and AI/ML solutions.
- Champion cloud-native architecture, DevSecOps automation, observability, reliability engineering, security, governance, and cost optimization.
- Establish standards for AI-assisted engineering, experimentation, code quality, security, and technical review.
- Partner with product, operations, architecture, platform, and supply chain stakeholders to align technical decisions with business needs.
- Communicate technical direction, delivery health, tradeoffs, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience designing and delivering complex enterprise data and software solutions, including large-scale transformation initiatives.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud-native data architecture on AWS, Databricks, and Azure, distributed systems, integration patterns, and scalable platform design.
- At least 5 years of experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, AWS Redshift, streaming frameworks, and contemporary DevOps and platform-engineering practices.
- Expertise in data architecture, distributed data processing, domain-driven design, scalable data platforms, streaming and event-driven systems, data governance, security, observability, and reliability.
- Experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions involving data preparation, model integration, inference workflows, automation use cases, and production enterprise platforms.
- Experience with AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker and Bedrock.
- Experience setting technical direction, influencing across teams, coordinating multiple software development teams, mentoring senior engineers, and leading cross-functional execution.
- Ability to balance technical quality, delivery outcomes, AI-enabled engineering, security, governance, and cost optimization.
- Experience working in cross-functional or globally distributed teams and understanding supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment platforms is preferred.
- AWS or Databricks certifications, SAFe or other agile delivery certifications, and experience with LLMs, AI agents, AI-assisted development platforms, or emerging-technology adoption are preferred.
