Responsibilities
- Design and develop SOAP services for reliable enterprise data exchange.
- Implement scalable REST API endpoints with secure, maintainable resource and status-code designs.
- Build and enhance Qlik SaaS dashboards, data models, and visualizations.
- Optimize APIs and Qlik SaaS solutions by tuning queries, analyzing usage, and refining data models.
- Integrate APIs with existing systems and manage request, response, and data transformations.
- Create technical documentation for APIs, data contracts, and Qlik SaaS assets.
- Perform unit and integration testing for SOAP services and REST APIs.
- Monitor production services and dashboards, identify incidents, and support resolution.
- Apply authentication, authorization, input validation, rate control, and data-protection practices.
- Participate in code reviews, peer discussions, deployment activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Three to six years of professional development experience on integration and analytics projects.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and consuming SOAP web services, including request/response handling and fault management.
- Experience creating REST APIs using common frameworks and structured resource designs.
- Practical Qlik SaaS experience covering data loading, data modeling, and dashboard design.
- Understanding of JSON, XML, data mapping, and integration patterns.
- Experience writing efficient queries and working with relational or cloud data sources.
- Familiarity with version control, branching strategies, and collaborative development practices.
- Ability to analyze requirements, estimate development effort, and break work into sprint-aligned tasks.
- Effective cross-functional communication and ability to present technical options clearly.
- Awareness of secure coding practices for integrations and protection of sensitive information.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and cloud services related to integration, monitoring, Qlik SaaS, or automated testing.
- Exposure to API management platforms or gateways supporting throttling, routing, and observability is preferred.
