Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction and architecture of prior authorization pipelines, Epic integrations, and AI agents handling patient calls and texts.
  • Build and operate production agentic systems in a regulated healthcare environment, including automated workflows, LLM-assisted QA, RAG, function calling, and evaluations.
  • Design multi-component systems spanning Epic integration, prior authorization, and patient communication infrastructure.
  • Write substantial production code and establish engineering standards through implementation and technical decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies, roadmaps, and product milestones while remaining accountable for shipping user-focused software.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of building complex systems from scratch and explaining the technical decisions made.
  • High agency and ability to identify and execute needed work without perfectly scoped tickets.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.
  • Daily use of AI tools and enthusiasm for extending AI-assisted development practices.
