Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, test, and deliver scalable software solutions across upstream and downstream systems.
- Build and maintain Java applications supporting clearing and settlements within the Cash Prime business.
- Analyze and improve control, stability, resiliency, capacity, and performance characteristics.
- Plan and manage unit, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Deliver production code with a focus on eliminating post-implementation issues.
- Contribute to strategic planning, technical standards, code reuse, quality improvements, and code reviews.
- Partner with technology leads and stakeholders on project estimates, delivery, and business value.
- Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted outputs covering secure coding, peer review, automated testing, correctness, performance, and security.
- Coach senior engineers and leads on compliant, responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- Formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Strong core Java expertise, including collections, garbage collection, and multithreading.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, databases, Kafka, React, AWS, and software feature design.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Ability to solve complex, large-scale problems and provide end-to-end solutions.
- Experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
- Experience designing and developing micro-frontends and microservices.
- Preferred exposure to Kubernetes and DevOps methodology.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
