Responsibilities
- Advise application teams on security implications of software modifications and integration of appropriate security measures.
- Document application changes, risks, recommended mitigation plans, and security controls.
- Conduct security engineering analyses, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments.
- Assess the effectiveness of security controls and compliance with U.S. Air Force and DoD security standards.
- Evaluate application architectures, data flows, processes, and documentation to identify deficiencies and validate remediation.
- Support security architecture design, product development discovery, and control evaluation.
- Participate in customer meetings and recommend improvements to security policies, standards, procedures, and remediation activities.
- Lead teams, set priorities, provide technical guidance and feedback, and share best practices across teams and portfolios.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with DoD network engineering or management.
- At least 3 years of cybersecurity experience.
- DoD 8140/8570 certification at IAT II or IAT III level.
- At least one of CASP+, AWS Security, CCSP, CSSLP, Associate of ISC2, an equivalent technical security certification, or directly related demonstrated experience.
- Knowledge of Unix, DevSecOps, web application security and modernization, AWS cloud security, and DoD/U.S. Air Force RMF policies and practices.
- Understanding of FIPS 140-2 compliance, NIST framework principles, DISA STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Strong communication, leadership, prioritization, teamwork, and professional feedback skills.
