Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture and identify opportunities to improve code efficiency and mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions supporting mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop scalable and robust software using modern software development practices.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and software development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or similar technologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML, JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, containers, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred; certifications may be obtained through Kyndryl.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
