Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test procedures for software features.
- Build, maintain, and improve flexible, scalable, modular test automation frameworks, including test data, reporting, and configuration management.
- Develop and test user-facing interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React.
- Use Python to build backend services, APIs, and scripting solutions supporting application features.
- Test and debug front-end and backend components for performance, compatibility, and correctness.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions or mitigations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with leadership, product management, engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity research teams.
- Participate in code reviews and improve software quality assurance processes, workflows, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 2+ years of programming experience with Python.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Experience with React, APIs including REST and GraphQL, relational databases, and ORMs including PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with test case management, project planning, and issue tracking tools.
- Experience troubleshooting production environments with observability and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of software design, design patterns, coding principles, and software development practices.
- Ability to develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
- Preferred experience or interest in TypeScript, Django, Docker, Kubernetes, Celery, AMQP, MQTT, Redis, cloud-native application development, distributed computing, enterprise-wide systems, and CI/CD tooling.
- Preferred experience with security software development practices, software engineering best practices, requirements communication, and influencing engineering practices.
