Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy infrastructure in AWS.
- Build and manage virtual cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Design and implement software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational applications.
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source code to solve complex problems.
- Optimize and increase the robustness of existing codebases.
- Work with Kubernetes, storage layers, Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, and applications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues autonomously.
- Support broader strategic goals established by team architects.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance; current Secret or TS clearance may also be considered.
- Requires 9+ years of experience with a related bachelor's degree, 7 years of relevant experience with a related master's degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 13 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes or a vendor distribution of Kubernetes, Ansible, and storage layers such as Ceph, Rook, or Longhorn.
- Programming experience in Python or Go.
- Strong Linux knowledge and proficiency in shell scripting or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with DISA's Big Data Platform or Big Data systems such as Cloudera Distribution of Hadoop, Hortonworks Data Platform, or MapR is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Puppet, Maven, virtualization platforms, and software development tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI, Travis CI, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, oVirt, Proxmox, or VMware is preferred.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications may be required based on customer direction.
