Base Salary
$159k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop security tooling that automates security reviews and identifies issues in product codebases and cloud infrastructure.
- Assess technical debt and risk, provide strategic vulnerability remediation direction, and lead long-term risk reduction.
- Guide teams toward secure-by-default solutions and propose new security mechanisms when necessary.
- Advocate for and deploy security testing tools, static analysis, linting, and detection mechanisms.
- Help builder teams become proactive and self-sufficient in security while reducing security operations costs.
- Respond to security architecture and implementation questions, analyze incidents, and propose corrective initiatives.
- Evaluate organizational security performance, identify architectural defects, and propose security initiatives.
- Mentor aspiring security advocates and security engineers through one-on-one sessions and office hours.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or a similar object-oriented language.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks with command-line tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT security experience.
- Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Knowledge of industry security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Preferred: experience with AWS products and services.
- Preferred: experience with security activities such as security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, and security testing across the software development lifecycle.

- Base salary range of $159,300.00-$202,400.00 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
