Base Salary
$240k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, monitoring, optimization, and documentation of public and internal APIs.
- Design and implement asynchronous workflows for task orchestration, content moderation, prompt enhancement, and post-processing.
- Optimize queries and performance for a high-traffic Postgres database.
- Build rate limiting, fraud detection, credit management, authentication, and API security systems.
- Improve public API developer experience through documentation, SDKs, and tooling.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of the codebases.
- Own systems end-to-end, including infrastructure, monitoring, logging, metrics, and incident response.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience building production APIs.
- Strong TypeScript experience.
- Experience owning production systems end-to-end, including infrastructure, monitoring, logging, metrics, and incident response.
- Understanding of API design patterns, REST principles, and asynchronous workflows.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres, and query optimization.
- Experience architecting production-ready systems at scale using AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud primitives.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate under tight product deadlines.
- Humility and open-mindedness.
