Base Salary
$139k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build technology solutions, analyze requirements, and define scope with guidance from managers and peers.
- Design, write, modify, test, debug, and integrate software solutions through unit testing, integration testing, and code review.
- Run production infrastructure and build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and scalable engineering automation.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot incidents, analyze production logs, and guide root-cause analysis.
- Create design documents and diagrams and expand runbooks, tutorials, API documentation, and user guidance.
- Collaborate across team boundaries to connect engineering-tool deliveries with Torc’s broader autonomous vehicle product offerings.
- Participate in team meetings, share progress and challenges, and seek and provide mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of experience, or a master's degree plus 0–3 years of experience.
- Ability to tackle critical challenges with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
- Proficiency with AWS core services including IAM, EC2, and S3, plus Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS.
- Fluency in an object-oriented language, with Python preferred, and scripting or templating skills in Bash and Go.
- Hands-on experience with Bazel, CMake, Maven, Gradle, Parasoft, SonarQube, and CodeQL.
- Intermediate competency with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Temporal, AWS Step Functions, and Argo Workflows.
- Understanding of logging and monitoring ecosystems including Datadog, CloudWatch, and New Relic.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact and package registries is a bonus.
- Familiarity with safety-critical or embedded software practices, MISRA C static analysis, VectorCAST, or similar embedded unit-testing tools is a bonus.
- Exposure to C and C++ in addition to Python is a bonus.
