Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, construct, test, implement, and support new or revised application systems and programs.
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology activities, and applications development.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend Java applications and secured enterprise REST APIs.
- Monitor and control development processes and provide user and operational support to business users.
- Analyze complex application, business-process, system-process, and industry-standard issues and recommend solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and assess system usage to ensure functionality and successful design.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups; install systems and assist with customer exposure systems.
- Define operating standards and processes, assess technology and business risk, and drive compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Lead technical initiatives, design system components, advise senior stakeholders, and mentor new or lower-level analysts and developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–8+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend Java development in an enterprise environment.
- Deep knowledge of Core Java 17/21, including lambdas, streams, records, pattern matching, multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Core.
- Strong Oracle Database skills, including indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and securing enterprise REST APIs and using Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or IBM MQ, microservices patterns, API gateways, circuit breakers, and service mesh.
- Understanding of enterprise security controls, vulnerability scanning, and secure coding practices, with experience using JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, designing system components, and mentoring developers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Financial-services experience is a plus; experience with GitHub Copilot or Devin and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular is preferred.

- Primary location salary range is $79,320.00–$110,680.00 per year.
