Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee automated test scripts using automation tools.
- Design and expand automation frameworks to support project and team requirements.
- Test application usability, functionality, performance, scalability, APIs, accessibility, and cross-browser and mobile behavior.
- Establish automation, performance-monitoring, testing-environment, and testing-data processes.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, clients, and other cross-functional groups to resolve automation and performance-testing issues.
- Promote automation and testing best practices within Quality Engineering teams and client organisations.
- Work directly with clients with minimal supervision while supporting and developing other team members.
Requirements
- At least three years of proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Proven experience with front-end testing frameworks and tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong understanding of QA processes and the software development life cycle.
- Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.
- Experience with API testing, ideally using RestAssured or SoapUI, including automated API testing with Java.
- Experience establishing and executing testing tools, environments, and data across testing stages.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and testing microservices in containerized environments.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure and understanding of accessibility testing.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar collaborative tools for test-case management and documentation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, troubleshooting, and client-facing skills.
