Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP, including platform administration touchpoints and solution design.
- Develop backend services, APIs, CRUD flows, business logic, and validations using Node.js-based service patterns.
- Build responsive SAPUI5 user interfaces with XML views, controllers, MVC patterns, and backend API integration.
- Design database artifacts and data models and connect applications to SAP HANA persistence.
- Configure BTP subaccounts, service instances, roles, development spaces, destinations, and connectivity for external APIs and databases.
- Package and deploy applications using multi-target application (MTA) deployment artifacts where applicable.
- Implement LLM-integrated features including tool calling, orchestration, memory and state handling, and safe action boundaries.
- Build retrieval-grounded experiences over enterprise content and APIs with appropriate fallback behavior.
- Create offline and online evaluation loops to monitor AI behavior and detect regressions.
- Use Git-based collaboration workflows, debug full-stack issues, and resolve backend, database, and service-exposure problems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Required experience with SAP BTP application development.
- Hands-on full-stack implementation experience spanning backend services, APIs, data models, and user-interface integration.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP platform architecture, administration fundamentals, solution design, and frontend/backend development.
- Experience building AI-native applications with LLM integration, agentic orchestration, retrieval grounding, evaluation, and safety boundaries.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to move applications from prototype to production.
- Practical exposure to SAP Business Application Studio and common SAP BTP application-development tooling is beneficial.
- Familiarity with BTP Application Development learning paths and bootcamp-style enablement is beneficial.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
