Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and manage new datasets for quantitative research and trading.
- Design and implement data stores and APIs for large datasets.
- Build and maintain infrastructure for ingesting, processing, and serving data.
- Develop real-time and batch workflows with attention to reliability, latency, and scalability.
- Monitor data processes and produce datasets for researchers and traders.
- Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers on data and platform problems.
Requirements
- Be a penultimate- or final-year student completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Have a grounding in algorithms, data structures, parallel programming, and object-oriented programming.
- Have experience with Python and an interest in solving data or infrastructure problems with software.
- Demonstrate interest in software engineering, infrastructure, or data engineering, particularly where performance and reliability matter.
- Use a rigorous, structured approach to problem solving and communicate clearly in collaborative environments.
- Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Front-end development experience and an interest in financial markets or algorithmic trading are preferred.
