Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures in patient-facing AI conversations and ship code fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Build and maintain agent infrastructure, including tool integrations, evaluation frameworks, and retrieval systems.
- Automate recurring clinic-side manual workflows through code.
- Handle difficult patient-facing situations with empathy and convert them into product insights.
- Own systems end-to-end and make architectural and implementation decisions independently.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience building and shipping LLM or agent systems end-to-end; professional, personal project, research, and open-source experience all qualify.
- Hands-on experience with agent infrastructure, including evaluations, retrieval-augmented generation, and tool integrations.
- Proficiency in Python or an equivalent systems programming language.
- Strong computer science and mathematics fundamentals.
- A track record of diagnosing and fixing failures in production LLM or agent systems.
- Ability to identify recurring manual workflows and automate them through code.
- Patient-facing warmth and empathy, plus comfort handling difficult conversations with care.
- Comfort working autonomously in a low-structure startup environment.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model evaluation, vector databases, or semantic search is preferred.
- Patient-facing or healthcare AI experience is preferred.
- Existing US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
