Lead Software Engineer- Data Management (SQL)
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Lead modernization and upgrades of the Credit Risk technology stack.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers and improve application operational stability.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring software and system issues.
- Lead evaluations of vendor solutions, architectural designs, and technical capabilities.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote adoption of emerging technologies.
- Contribute to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in Java or Python.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and Transact-SQL, including Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Preferred exposure to AWS, Snowflake, business intelligence tools, Kafka, Scala, and Apache Spark.
