Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites across UI, API, service, and database layers.
- Own test planning and execution from story validation through production release support within a scrum team.
- Test and validate internally built LLMs, external AI tools, and other non-deterministic systems.
- Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to define testable acceptance criteria and identify quality risks.
- Document, triage, track, and communicate defects, coverage gaps, release risks, and defect trends.
- Use AI tooling to support test development, issue detection, reproduction, and resolution.
- Mentor mid-level quality engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and hands-on guidance.
- Support production escalations and participate actively in scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software testing and QA experience in an Agile Scrum environment.
- At least 5 years building test frameworks with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO or Playwright, with familiarity with Selenium also relevant.
- Experience with manual, exploratory, regression, integration, API/service, database, and full-spectrum software testing.
- Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Selenium for end-to-end browser automation.
- Experience with Jest, Vitest, or Mocha for unit and integration testing.
- Experience with k6, JMeter, or Locust for performance testing.
- Experience executing tests through GitHub Actions and AWS.
- Experience with Datadog, Sentry, or New Relic for logs and error tracking.
- Experience with TestRail, Jira, Xray, or Zephyr for test management.
- Understanding of Git branching strategies, pull request workflows, and incremental CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Industry experience in EdTech, SaaS/B2B software, or e-learning and online education platforms.
- Strong communication, quality ownership, critical thinking, risk reporting, and production escalation skills.
