Base Salary
$124k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and improve security tooling, automations and services that support Security Operations.
- Write production-ready code, infrastructure-as-code and technical documentation with a high bar for quality and reliability.
- Improve security workflows such as access controls, cloud guardrails, service hardening and inbound security requests.
- Partner with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps and deliver practical security solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, improve runbooks and help maintain healthy, reliable systems.
- Contribute to technical designs, project plans and retrospectives, while clearly communicating progress, risks and blockers.
- Use AI to speed up repeatable engineering work such as prototyping, documentation and code improvements.
- Use AI to summarize operational signals, surface patterns and reduce manual toil.
Requirements
- Experience in cloud, security, and/or software engineering including building and operating production services.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code, especially in environments such as AWS and Terraform.
- Experience in writing and reviewing production-quality code, debugging issues and delivering reliable solutions.
- Experience in operational security, platform security or security engineering work.
- Experience working independently on projects with clear goals and communicating progress.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in engineering work.
- Strong track record of critically evaluating AI-assisted output through testing and validation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
