Base Salary
$160k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the sales team as the technical expert to help customers understand the value of Okta’s solutions.
- Understand customer challenges and provide product demonstrations to align solutions with their needs.
- Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, partners, and colleagues.
- Plan and deliver Proof Of Concepts for customers with complex use cases.
- Provide feedback to product management about enhancements that can address customer needs.
- Share best practices and reusable assets with other Solutions Engineers.
- Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
- Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, and trade shows.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience.
- Demonstrated passion for serving customers in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas around technical topics effectively.
- Experience deploying apps in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with standard network security protocols such as OAuth and SAML.
- Experience working with REST APIs, API Gateways, and SDKs.
- Hands-on experience in web, mobile, or backend development.
- Understanding of core security concerns within applications.
- Exceptional communication skills and confidence in presenting to expert audiences.
- Territory management skills, including pipeline building.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
