Responsibilities
- Perform manual white-box penetration testing and code review of Atlassian software, platforms, and services.
- Hunt for vulnerabilities that automated toolsets may not detect.
- Technically validate security controls and provide technical assurance to security teams, engineers, and customers.
- Read and understand product code and collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to strengthen security.
- Lead projects from start to finish and mentor other security practitioners.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of experience in white-box penetration testing, application security, or manual code review.
- Require strong understanding of web application security and experience with cloud security architecture and infrastructure.
- Require coding experience in Java, Python, or Go, plus at least one scripting language.
- Require the ability to reason about security decisions and collaborate with deeply technical development and infrastructure teams.
- Preferred qualifications include third-party bug bounty reports, security community contributions, OSCP, OSCE, OSWE, CREST CRT, or GPEN certifications, CVEs, industry presentation experience, security tool development, and experience with compliance, privacy, IT, or networking.
