Responsibilities
- Provide software engineering and development support for the Battlespace Awareness team’s core tools.
- Build ML infrastructure for system-parameter optimization and performance-regression detection in CI.
- Develop software supporting multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning.
- Develop and maintain low-latency or real-time software and integration tests.
- Apply machine learning methods including hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, and explainable ML.
Requirements
- Professional experience using one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
- Experience building low-latency or real-time software and developing software tests, including Robot Framework and integration tests.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines and comfort using Claude or Codex AI coding assistants.
- Machine learning background in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, and explainable ML such as Bayesian ML.
- U.S. work authorization and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: TypeScript or JavaScript, React, Node.js, PyTorch, Python FastAPI, CesiumJS, faster-than-real-time simulation, Slackbot integrations, and 2–3+ years of professional machine learning experience, especially model deployment.
- A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
