Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the core AI tutoring system, including prompt architectures and real-time adaptive behaviors.
- Run rigorous experimentation and evaluation to measure learning effectiveness and improve model reliability.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable software that integrates AI capabilities with platform systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with educators and product teams to translate pedagogical goals into technical solutions.
- Prototype and productionize novel model interactions leveraging emerging research.
- Ensure quality and safety through monitoring, testing, and iterative refinement of model behavior.
- Share knowledge and elevate teammates, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
- 1+ years building complex LLM-based systems with strong prompt engineering intuition.
- Ability to design meaningful evaluation methods and custom metrics.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and fluency in Python.
- Familiarity with production infrastructure, cloud environments, and CI/CD.
- Empathy for learners and content creators, translating pedagogical goals into system behavior.
- Ability to reason holistically across AI behavior, content structure, and user experience.
- Drawn to difficult problems and persistent in exploring solutions.
