Responsibilities
- Ship production backend code while learning the codebase, banking domain, and product.
- Own major engineering projects as an individual contributor from initial design through production.
- Translate complex financial and banking requirements into reliable software operating at scale.
- Make system design, data modeling, and architectural tradeoff decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and clients to evolve core banking systems.
- Build simple automated systems that reduce recurring manual work.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on backend software engineering experience, including production work on banking, financial systems, or large-scale core infrastructure.
- At least one year of experience in an early-stage or small startup environment.
- Experience designing and delivering major projects end to end, including production system design and data modeling decisions.
- Ability to ship iteratively, maintain code quality, and own reliable systems.
- Comfort working in new problem areas without an established playbook.
- Interest in core banking systems and financial infrastructure.
