Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Web3 components and integrations, including smart contracts, on-chain event listeners, wallet integrations, and blockchain protocol connectors.
  • Build and maintain backend services interfacing with public and permissioned blockchain networks.
  • Develop, test, and audit smart contracts for security, correctness, and gas efficiency.
  • Integrate Web3 libraries and SDKs into enterprise Java and/or Node.js backend services.
  • Implement asynchronous, event-driven architectures for on-chain events, transaction lifecycles, and blockchain state synchronization.
  • Collaborate on scalable, secure, and resilient Web3 infrastructure and participate in code reviews.
  • Support digital asset custody, tokenization, and DeFi/TradFi bridging integrations.
  • Create technical documentation and investigate and resolve technical issues across the Web3 stack.
  • Track protocol upgrades, token standards, Layer 2 solutions, and emerging institutional Web3 tooling.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and distributed-team delivery processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience with a strong backend development foundation.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Web3 and blockchain application development experience, including smart contracts and protocol integration.
  • 8–12 years of backend development experience using Java/Spring, Node.js, or equivalent enterprise frameworks.
  • Proficiency with smart contract development, Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, Web3J, Web3JS, Ethers.js, or Viem.
  • Understanding of blockchain consensus, transaction lifecycles, gas models, wallet infrastructure, key management, token standards, and tokenization patterns.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, and message queuing such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Helm, and observability platforms.
  • Understanding of cryptography, digital signatures, hashing, PKI, secure key management, and smart contract vulnerabilities.
  • Exposure to Layer 2 scaling solutions and cross-chain interoperability protocols is a plus.
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, delivery, testing, documentation, and adaptability skills.
