Responsibilities
- Develop and modify applications for Copart’s global expansion.
- Write efficient and secure applications, conduct peer reviews, and document solutions.
- Work with Program Managers, Business Analysts, Team Leads, infrastructure, security, and quality assurance teams.
- Build and support real-time web applications using backend and client-side technologies.
- Write unit tests and continuously improve engineering processes and solutions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and maintain technical and business-logic documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, MVC, and other Spring modules.
- Experience with Core Java and multithreaded programming.
- Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and mocking frameworks.
- Experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, and client-side MVC JavaScript frameworks.
- Knowledge of AI tooling and coding assistants such as Claude and Copilot.
- Understanding of n-tier architecture and development methodologies.
- Preferred experience with Unix, Linux, Solaris, RESTful web services, Apache, Tomcat, SQL, stored procedures, DB2, MySQL, Maria, Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, communication, self-motivation, curiosity, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
