Responsibilities
- Translate wireframes, annotated prototypes, and design specifications into production-quality front-end code with high fidelity to validated user experiences.
- Build and maintain a reusable UI component library for successive mission application builds.
- Collaborate with HCD researchers, identify technical constraints affecting design intent, and propose alternatives.
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and ensure data is correctly surfaced in the interface.
- Apply responsive design and accessibility standards suitable for classified government environments.
- Ship incrementally and iterate closely with users.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
- At least 3 years of front-end development experience with React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Demonstrated fluency in HCD and UX principles and experience building from research-validated designs.
- Experience working directly with UX researchers or HCD practitioners.
- Experience building and maintaining reusable component libraries or design systems.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work quickly and iterate without heavy specifications or detailed tickets.
- Preferred qualifications include DoD or IC software development experience, secure coding and compliance experience, AWS GovCloud and DoD-accredited platform experience, IL6 familiarity, multi-application component library experience, a portfolio demonstrating technical and design execution, and SOF or SOF-support experience.
