Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Analyze the existing Microsoft Access TEDB application, documenting forms, queries, macros, workflows, business rules, and data inconsistencies.
- Support web application architecture, interface design, wireframes, prototypes, technical documentation, and reusable application components.
- Develop and maintain responsive React frontend interfaces, data-entry forms, dashboards, reports, tables, search tools, and state management.
- Design, develop, document, test, and maintain backend services, REST APIs, business logic, validation, workflow rules, and SQL-backed data access.
- Integrate authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, multifactor authentication, secure session management, and cybersecurity controls.
- Reimplement and validate Access reports and support SQL Server Reporting Services or another approved reporting platform.
- Develop unit, component, integration, regression, API, database, and user-acceptance testing processes and resolve defects and data discrepancies.
- Support deployment, cutover, training, transition from Access, post-deployment troubleshooting, performance optimization, configuration management, and sustainment.
- Collaborate with Navy users, database engineers, system engineers, Test and Evaluation personnel, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, and government stakeholders.
- Maintain architecture, API, database, workflow, testing, release, and technical documentation and independently own assigned features through deployment.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- At least 2 years of professional software or web application development experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
- Production development experience with JavaScript and React, including reusable frontend components and responsive interfaces, is required.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, REST APIs or other data services, data-driven interfaces, and Redux, Redux Toolkit, React Context, or a comparable state-management approach is required.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts is required.
- Familiarity with at least one backend technology such as Java, Spring, Node.js, Python, Django, or Flask is required.
- Experience with Git-based version control, code reviews, debugging, collaborative development, and unit or automated software testing is required.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification meeting 8570/8140 IAT II requirements is required.
- Candidates should be able to translate user needs and workflows into software solutions and communicate technical concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include TypeScript or well-documented JavaScript, Redux Toolkit, React Router, authentication, role-based access, Java/Spring, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, Maven, NPM, GitLab, or GitHub experience.
- Experience with Navy or Department of War users, requirements traceability, Test and Evaluation processes, IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS, DXL, or Tactical Data Link systems is beneficial.
