Responsibilities
- Build an AI harness to automatically resolve bugs reported for the Notion app.
- Improve CI and build reliability while helping achieve a five-minute CI target.
- Develop features for in-house AI-first remote development environments.
- Execute a shared Developer Experience roadmap with the US engineering team based on developer feedback.
- Improve developer workflows using tools such as the TypeScript language server, lint tooling, and the Notion CLI.
- Design, harden, evaluate, and iterate on AI-agent and agentic workflows.
- Debug systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and deliver pragmatic fixes.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication, and high-quality code reviews.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of software engineering experience and strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience turning ambiguous goals into well-scoped, shippable milestones and executing large projects.
- Experience building or operating developer tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure workflows, or internal platforms with a focus on reliability, observability, and developer trust.
- Ability to create technical roadmaps, plan and execute large projects, and motivate teams toward shared goals.
- Experience creating and hardening AI agents through guardrails, evaluation, testing, and real workflow feedback.
- Understanding of code-based orchestration, cost and scalability tradeoffs, long-running workflows, and verification loops.
- Systems-level debugging and performance analysis skills.
- Strong written communication, collaboration, ownership, accountability, and cross-time-zone partnership skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor engineers and multiply team effectiveness.
- Knowledge of building AI harnesses, tool building, or context harnesses is additive.
