Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, document, debug, maintain, and improve new and existing software systems throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Design and integrate software components, applications, databases, APIs, and business-system enhancements into functional solutions.
  • Provide implementation and post-implementation support, troubleshoot systems, resolve defects, and update existing applications.
  • Create software designs, flowcharts, specifications, verification plans, quality-assurance procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Perform system, data, unit, and functional testing and ensure applicable software functionality meets quality standards.
  • Collect and document end-user feedback, support user training, and provide internal and external customer support.
  • Follow project plans, industry standards, internal policies, and procedures.
  • May lead a work team or projects and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4–7 years of related experience.
  • Experience creating application and component designs to support stable PCB designs.
  • At least 1 year of experience with web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing, maintaining, and developing SQL and relational databases.
  • At least 1 year of experience building web applications, backend services, and APIs with ASP.NET or NodeJS.
  • Experience with at least one compiled language such as Java, C, or C# and one interpreted language such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, frameworks, technologies, software design patterns, data encapsulation, object-oriented design, and functional programming.
  • Experience with data warehousing; predictive analytics and automated scripting/software development are preferred.
  • Experience gathering and directly analyzing end-user requirements is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include IT Architect Certification, TOGAF, Certified Technical Architect, MCSD, Certified Application Developer, Oracle APEX Developer Certified Expert, or Oracle Certified Professional.
  • Proficiency in software development using Microsoft .NET technologies such as C#, C++, WPF, Win Forms, WCF, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, TPL, PLINQ, LINQ, and Transact-SQL.
  • Experience working in a team development environment using TFS and familiarity with Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Intermediate English proficiency is required; French and/or Spanish are relevant language skills.
  • Advanced reasoning skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and under pressure are required.
