Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and mentor engineering teams building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build internal tools, platforms, Claude Code integrations, skills marketplaces, and AI-powered workflows that improve developer productivity.
- Deliver scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS and collaborate with product managers and enterprise architects on architecture and strategy.
- Set standards for system design, software development, operational excellence, coding practices, and design patterns across teams.
- Use modern programming languages, databases, containers, and cloud infrastructure to develop and operate software.
- Identify and reduce technical debt, refactor systems, optimize performance, and troubleshoot distributed cloud environments.
- Participate in technology communities, evaluate emerging tools, and mentor engineering peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contributions, front-end frameworks, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes modern AI coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, mentoring engineers, observability, performance optimization, cross-functional engineering leadership, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
