Responsibilities
- Create test cases from product specifications and execute test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, maintain, and run automated test scripts.
- Set up and maintain personal and team testing environments.
- Track defects from detection through resolution and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve them.
- Create and run SQL scripts to populate data and validate test results.
- Test APIs, document expected versus actual results, estimate testing efforts, and support stakeholders before general software releases.
- Review product documentation and software development processes to improve product quality.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience testing software applications or packages, preferably in the banking or financial industry.
- Knowledge of software testing processes, quality assurance methods, software development lifecycle activities, and payment domains; GPP knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience with Java, Selenium, Playwright, REST, SOAP, Postman, SOAP UI, and relational databases is required or preferred as specified in the posting.
- Preferred experience with Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, Git, Oracle, IBM MQ, and Apache Kafka.
- Ability to execute test plans and scripts, document results, record defects, analyze problems, and develop automated testing programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, planning, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
