Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated tests using modern development techniques across every layer of the application stack.
- Produce and analyze quality metrics to support quality engineering and business decisions.
- Triage test failures and maintain the health of the build pipeline.
- Collaborate with development, product, operations, and support teams to make quality a core design element.
- Participate in product, test, and infrastructure code reviews.
- Prevent escaped defects, participate in support escalations, and support secure software development goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- 6–9 years of professional experience in software development or automated testing using Python or similar languages.
- Experience with integration, regression, and unit testing.
- Working experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL and familiarity with cloud environments and concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Python.
- Experience with a modern programming language such as Python, Java, or Golang.
- Programming, debugging, software architecture, and testing-principles knowledge.
- Preferred exposure to BDD, I18N testing, performance testing, and resiliency testing.
- Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and container-based application development.
- Equivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the stated qualifications.
