Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and provide feedback.
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using open-source tools.
- Design and execute manual, functional, performance, regression, stress, and load tests.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and verify corrective actions.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements and gaps.
- Use AI to improve testing efficiency and code coverage.
- Monitor software development stages to identify and resolve system malfunctions.
- Stay current with testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Strong Python development skills and a solid Unix background.
- Strong knowledge of Bash, Ksh, or Sh shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Robot Framework.
- Experience with source code management systems such as Git or CVS.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance and strong knowledge of the SDLC.
- AI skills for implementing testing that improves code coverage.
- Experience with C, C++, C#, or Java is preferred.
- Experience with Valgrind, JProfiler, Wireshark, tcpdump, AWS testing, CI/CD, encryption/decryption, proxy setup, test case management, and bug/task tracking systems is preferred.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Agile/Scrum, performance testing, security testing, and writing comprehensive test plans is preferred.
- Knowledge of networking, protocols, middleware, white-box testing, and black-box testing is preferred.
